Wokingham Borough schools can turn trash into cash!Greenredeem, the company behind Wokingham Borough's recycling rewards programme is inviting schools in Wokingham Borough to apply for cash grants as part of the school donation programme. In total, grants of up to £2k are available this year for schools that got that extra mile to collect points.
Residents in Wokingham Borough that are Greenredeem members will be able to donate their points from the 1st January 2017 - with the school that's top of the class picking up a cheque for £1,000 in July. In the last school donations scheme, Wokingham Borough residents generously donated over 600k points, with Winnersh Primary School picking up a cheque for £1,000.
Greenredeem is encouraging applications from all schools in Wokingham Borough, and rather than funding a specific project, a grant can be used to support wider projects in the school. Since launch in 2012, the school donations scheme has supported a wide variety of projects including growing areas, outdoor play schemes, Bee zones and African growing gardens, to name but a few. Making an application for the scheme is easy, and schools are encouraged to fill out the application form that can be found on the Greenredeem website.
Greenredeem's Director of Marketing & Communications, Rob Crumbie said, "We're always surprised by the generosity of Greenredeem members in donating their points to schools, and welcome more applications for the scheme starting in January. This popular scheme always receives a high level of applications and we're looking forward to seeing how we can help more schools next year".
