The One Tonne Challenge (OTC) is a 12-month campaign designed to help organisations take their first steps towards reducing their environmental impact. It empowers employees to collectively save 1 tonne of carbon per person annually through practical and engaging team-focused activities.
The OTC is run by Greenredeem, a trusted provider of sustainability initiatives. With extensive experience in driving engagement and measurable change, Greenredeem delivers the tools, guidance, and resources your organisation needs to achieve meaningful environmental progress.
Each week, employees receive personalised communications, via email or push notifications (if using the app), prompting them to participate in carbon-saving activities. These activities encourage long-term behavioural changes, empowering individuals to think differently about their everyday actions and environmental impact.
Participants receive a personalised Carbon Tracker that highlights their monthly and lifetime progress based on completed activities and environmental pledges. Employees can also earn Eco-bits, which can be redeemed for:
